What happens after immigration was given a tip, on my ex husband breaching his work Permit conditions?

He’s working for a different company that the one that gave him the work Permit

And it was a job that issues him a tax slip and record of employment? Or something under the table that pays cash?

If he's caught, it probably would be some variation of banned from working in Canada or work permit withdrawn.

Both.
At the beginning he was working for them without declaring taxes.
They gave him checks, and record of employment.
After six months, they provided him with a work Permit until October 2019.
The company went bankrupt August 2018, since then, he rented a shop and started fixing semi-trucks for cash.
Starting this June, he works for a different company.

If IRCC/CBSA actions the tip, your husband can expect to have his work permit canceled, be told to leave Canada, and be banned from applying for another work permit for six month. Even once this six month period has passed, your husband may have difficulty getting a work permit or TRV approved since he has demonstrated a lack of respect for Canadian immigration rules.

When his application got denied, he left I’ve found out he was cheating on me the whole time.
