I applied for the BOWP via paper application. It was received on March 20th and it was approved on June 20th. I'm waiting for the work permit in the mail.

Why dont you apply through online application which will make the process bit faster?
I was trying to apply for my BOWP through paper application because I have not received the AOR but my work permit is expired soon.
However, CIC does not accept paper application anymore.

Got a ghost update on my profile today... they started reviewing the eligibility requirements.
Applied on Feb 14...

Have you get your BOWP approved yet? How long does it take from submission until you get approved?
I got a ghost message June 23rd(Sunday) saying they are updating my profile but I just submitted on June 21. I dont think CIC can process my application that fast.

I had talked to 3 different CIC agents before I applied for my BOWP in March 1st. THey all said for applicant of PR under the PN category , the BOWP application is unavailable online.

Maybe that changed recently.

I was notified by my representative, that my BOWP was approved this past Friday!

Applied for BOWP: April 8 (online)
Approval for BOWP: June 21st
Permit is in the mail.

Not sure if you were replying to me, however, I received an email which had an attachment saying it had been approved and that my work permit has been posted to me. I received the work permit in the mail today.

For information, my PR medical was expired and I got my BOWP without submitting any medical exam.

Yes, thanks for updating me. I applied on April 2 via paper application. Didn’t hear anything yet.
Hopefully next week for some news.

Guys, any idea what stage(Eligibility, Security, Criminality, Medical) of PR application needs to be cleared for BOWP to be approved? I heard PR application should be Approved In Principle(AIP) for getting BOWP, but not sure when we can say an application is AIP.

I think once you complete R10 completeness check, they will approve your BOWP.
