BOWP - Second / Further Review!?

I spoke with a CIC agent yesterday to find out my 2nd BOWP application (current one expires end of this month) has been put up for further/second review.

I thought this usually happened to PR applications and such? Has anyone heard of this phenomenon of second review for BOWP applications? What is the timeline estimate on it?
The agent said I cannot call them again and ask for update until end of october (!?)

It's not a phenomenon! You will need to calm down. BOWP is usually issued for applicants so they can work till a decision has been made on their PR application. 99.99% of the time people apply for it once, since their PR will get through within a year. But since this is your second BOWP expect some reviews and delays. They just want to make sure you are on the right path.

There is nothing to be worried about. Stay put, you'll get there soon.
