BOWP - Second / Further Review!?

I spoke with a CIC agent yesterday to find out my 2nd BOWP application (current one expires end of this month) has been put up for further/second review. I thought this usually happened to PR applications and such? Has anyone heard of this phenomenon of second review for BOWP applications...

Does CIC hold back on BOWP renewal if PR (COPR) is very close to approval?

I think you are right. I called CIC yesterday only to find out that my BOWP has been put for "further review". Sigh.... PR applicant since march 2014 under cec, 2yrs+ work experience from a fortune 500 company and still the misery continues. Now even the BOWP is having issues. CIC is a joke...

Does CIC hold back on BOWP renewal if PR (COPR) is very close to approval?

I applied for 2nd BOWP extension mid June and pretty much every other forum user has got their work permit back. According to my GCMS notes the BF date on my PR application (which has everything they need) was end of June. Is the delay in processing of my BOWP related to my PR application...

    Returning to Canada after Landing?

Just read on very old thread that you can enter Canada in a private vehicle using COPR. Is that still the case? Also, how long does it take to get your COPR if everything is okay after CIC receives your RCMP clearance?

    Returning to Canada after Landing?

I am CEC applicant since 2014. New fingerprints were requested this month and I sent those to CIC few days back. My employer is helping me get my L1-B and move to U.S. for 2 years to work on a major project. My BOWP expires this October. My question is, if somehow by miracle, CIC managed to...

RCMP Fingerprints... Again within a year?

So I got request from CIC to send in "new rcmp fingerprints criminal record check". The last ones I sent are only 6 months old. Is this some kind of strategy to delay processing? Has anyone seen such scenario before i.e. requesting this check again while I already sent them within a year. oh...

GCMS notes update - Late August 2014 Applicants

You sir have won the canadavisa.com's idiot of the year award. Yeah, lets swap your life with someone who is in a refugee camp near a war torn country somewhere. You sir claim to be hard working, you need to take a look into the mirror and think about life a little bit more harder. Slavery...

I am sorry but this article sounds way too much linked to the irish community and doesn't really highlight many generic scenarios. For example, there are people who cannot get working holiday visas so they have to go through channels such as mine i.e. who have been here in canada since 2007...

Medical Emergency and implied status - **Please help... I am desperate.**

No I do not have USA work VISA (I have B1/B2 type) and I don't intend on working from there. I already called up my manager and HR for medical leave and they are giving me days off (family medical leave with some % pay). My biggest concern is if that money from payroll would count as work...

Medical Emergency and implied status - **Please help... I am desperate.**

Thank you for your response zardoz. So does that mean PTO (paid time off) or Family Leave (offered by work with 80% pay) is illegal for the time I am away? I will not be doing any work until I get the new permit.

DUI - Convicted - need help post grad work permit

Jeremied, If I was you I would listen carefully to what I have to say. There is no such thing as leaving on good terms with a criminal conviction. If you leave after pleading guilty and without fighting or getting alternate program you are pretty much closing gates for yourself for a long time...
