BOWP Rejected. Please help..

WP Expired on - 7 Jan. 2014


I got BOWP rejection mail at 3:30 PM EST today beacuse of no AOR and Got AOR approval mail around 4:40 PM.
Please help !!!! I am in big mess now.

You can apply again. There is no other course of action. Explain the situation in a brief cover letter.

Also, while a few might claim that they have gotten BOWP without AOR, even if true that is the exception, not the rule. Requirements to apply for BOWP are very clear.

Can I apply for BOWP again as my work permit has already expired on 7th Jan 2014.

Sorry to hear this. I doubt CIC will approve your BOWP if you apply again. One of the key requirement is that you should have a valid work permit due to expire within 4 months. Since your wp expired 7th of Jan you no longer meet this requirement. Some may suggest that you can pay $200 and restore your status as a worker with BOWP, but I've yet to see someone sucessfully do this. Wait and see what input others may have.

So sorry to hear this. Unfortunately you no longer qualify for BOWP as your work permit has already expired.
You have a few options. If you can get an LMO, you can restore your status to worker.
You can also restore your status to student if you wish to take a few courses while you wait for your PR application to be completed.
You can restore your status to visitor and just wait out the application process in Canada.
Now, if you don't really want to waIt it out in Canada, you can return to your home country and wait out the process.
You have 90 days from the day you receive your refusal letter to restore your status

Hi

You did biggest mistake. I was in same boat applied BOWP but not online .I did paper application because it took more time than online.In meanwhile AOR arrive.
Now u can apply for restoration of status ASAP with your offer letter, explaination letter and try your employer to gt LMO

Hi.

My PGWP work permit is expiring on feb 23rd. My employer does not do LMO. I applied under CEC in November 2013 and but they sent my application back In jan 2014 due to IELTS score. I re-submitted my application on Feb 5th with new IELTS score and put a letter explaining my situation. Do you think I will get AOR before 23 rd of Feb 2014 ? If not then what should I do ? Should I apply for BOWP without AOR.

No, the BOWP is not available during restoration, you must have a valid current work permit. Unless you are entitled to an open work permit for some other reason (spousal, etc) then you need to obtain an LMO and a 'closed' work permit.
