Hi, first of all very sorry to hear about your refusal. Just wanted to know as your PGWP expired what status are you on right now?
I could be wrong but I think you need to have some kind of status in order to apply for 'Restoration of Status' or 'Visitor' status.
If your status is expired, is it possible for you to go to the border and see if you can get back into Canada on 'temporary' status? I am just suggesting here as I don't know this area of law very well.
You will have to apply for restoration of your status. Haven't seen many cases with refused BOWP. I'm not sure if you can for restoration and visitor visa at the same time.
restoration means without any status in canada and apply for status within 90 days of work permit expiry.. so was thinking if i apply for restoration with visitor visa.. will it be possible?

I had my work extension refused and then I was advised to reply to restore my status and was given 90 days so i applied to restore as a visitor. There have been some people that were not given the restoration of status option, I am not sure how this works. Some people are given the 90 days and others are advised to leave. Also restoration of status takes about 3-4 months to be processed, I sent my application in January and I am still waiting and hoping to get something before the end of this month because i am planning to go back to school actually so need it for my study permit.
After your WP expiry you've to 90 days to restore your status either student , visitor, extension,pr,etc.
if you've applied visitor most likely you'll get it depending on your funds in account.
if you apply for study after visitor chances are you will not get it, IO argue that you came here for TEMPORARY not permanent.
So i am planning to apply for restoration with study permit.. but was thinking how many funds you have to show if you are in canada for study permit to get approved? Did you show any proof of funds?
