Hai all,
Me and my wife applied for BOWP(online) 10 days ago. Now my wife is pregnant. since my PGWP expired week ago we can no longer use our OHIP card. We called service Ontario for renewal they said they can’t renew our OHIP until we submit our new permit. So my question is,
1- Is there any possibility to expedite the BOWP processing time..?
2- Is there any way to renew our OHIP card..?

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

There is no BOWP with PGWP. PGWP is not extendable. You can expect your BOWP to be refused.

@canuck78 - that is incorrect information. If OP has applied for permanent residence, he is eligible to apply for a BOWP if his PGWP is due to expire in 4 months or less.

@Sra1 - I was on a PGWP that expired on Nov 17, 2018. I applied for a BOWP on Sep 21, 2018 and my application was approved yesterday (Nov 24). So you can expect yours to be approved in about 60-65 days. I would give 72 days, because of Christmas and New Year's.

Since you applied on/around Nov 8, expect your BOWP to be approved in mid-Jan. Thereafter, it will take a few days to be delivered to you. So I would say, by the end of January you can get your BOWP. Until then, make sure you sign up for visitor's insurance. This is offered by many insurance companies. Expect to pay around $150/month per person for decent coverage.

To answer your questions: 1) There is no way to expedite BOWP processing time, and 2) There is no way to renew an expired OHIP card without a valid work permit.
