I applied for BOWP online 5 weeks ago and i paid online. So far i have not received any update about my application.

I just found out that there is a receipt in the "My CIC" account which i was supposed to print, fill my name in and mail/scan to Immigration.

I never did that - what do i do now? Does anyone know if that step was mandatory because the instructions never said anything about it.

Advise is greatly appreciated!

I submitted an application too but no decision made yet and I didn't send the receipt. However, BOWP Online processing time is 43 days. It's been 35 days since you submitted your application. I think you would hear back on 9 Mar 2015.

Oh i'm not worried about not having heard back from them. I'm just worried if i was supposed to email them the receipt.

Thanks for the reply though.

I believe it is not required for on line applications. Good luck

You don't need to do anything. Just wait.

But did you receive a message in your mycic what says like "This confirms that your application has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on January xx, 2015".

Why do u need to send a receipt? did u pay with credit carD?

Yes i paid with a credit card online as my application was also done online. However, later on i noticed that there is a receipt in my online CIC account which i have to fill in with my name. At the bottom of the receipt it also says that i should print it, fill it in and send it to immigration.

However, after discussing with several people on these forums and calling CIC - I've come to realize that i don't have to send the receipt to CIC.

I believe BOWP online processing time has increased from 43 days to 48 days.

Yes they are dead slow these days, I applied on 7th Jan & BOWP application got approved today (09/Mar/2015)..

hi all

i am filling online application! do i have ti like sign form, ( print/sign/scan/upload ) or is just enough to write my name?

are those 48 days now counted as 48 working days or days in general?

Name is enough, no need to sign on paper.
48 days including Saturday/Sunday but processing time is keep on changing, no one can predict on that, best of luck.

Hello Guys,

I have two question If someone has confirmed information regarding these please advise.

Q1: As we are applying online do we need to send the payment receipt to CIC as its mentioning in bottom of the receipt we need to send ?
Q2: I received a confirmation e-mail and read below my confirmation e-mail is it your e-mail is same ?
When will CIC contact me?
You are expected to provide a COPY of your passport with your electronic application. If CIC needs your physical
passport, CIC will request that you submit it to our office. CIC will also contact you if we require additional information,
documents or an interview. For general guidance on what to expect, you can visit
or consult the “What Happens Next” section of the instruction guide
associated with the application form you used.

Or its just a me they are saying about my passport ?

Please advise. Thanks
