BOWP Paper Mail Processing Time Details

Hello fellow applicants,

I understand that this type of thread has been discussed many times previously. But, I would like to inquire some detail information about BOWP processing time and procedures.

I have checked on CIC website, it specifies that the current processing time for Paper BOWP is 100 days. I assume this is the entire processing time which starts from the date someone submitted their application to the date that they receive their BOWP.

Here is my question list:
Could anyone kindly provide some inputs to my questions? ;D

1. If a paper BOWP application was rejected/refused. How long does an applicant receive a response from CIC regarding this issue?
2. Has anyone received an interview from CIC because a refused/rejected BOWP application?
3. Does CIC charge penalties on refused/rejected applicants? Will this affect their PR applications?

Here are the answers to your questions as long as my knowledge extends:

1/ If the application gets rejected the applicant will receive a response letter within days. It's usually the next working day delivery. It might take longer depending on the postal traffic.
2/ There would be no interview if an application gets rejected.
3/ They don't charge penalties and it has nothing to do with your PR application.
