BOWP outside Canada

Hello Everyone,

My current work permit is expiring on April 6th and have filed for my PR application under CEC class on Jan 27th(delivered). I am expecting my AOR number by mid March and planning to apply for OWP at the earliest.

However i am going on vacation to my native country in Feb end and will be returning by March end, so wanted to know if i can apply for OWP from my native country??

Apply online. They will not send the work permit to an address outside of Canada but since you'll be back soon then it should be alright.

To be precise that's what i wanted to confirm, if i can apply for BOWP while i am in India and collect the same once i am back. Dont they track the dates when an applicant have left Canada?

you can do the paper application before you leave for India as it takes longer than the online application and they'll hopefully receive that after you get your AOR.
