BOWP or PGWP after ITA?

What path you think I should choose to extend my temporary open work permit, that expires mid July? I got the Express Entry invitation (ITA) and submitted my documents at the end of January, so I know I can apply to a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP). Also, my wife just finished her two year college, so now she can apply to a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). So I have a few questions:

If I apply to a BOWP, my wife would also receive a open work permit?
If she apply to a PGWP would I also receive a open work permit?

If the answer is yes to both questions, what would be the preferable (easier, faster, more certain) way?

Does it make sense for us to submit our applications separately, she for PGWP and I to BOWP?

If it makes any difference, I have two years of Canadian NOC work experience. She does not yet have any work experience.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Congratulations on your ITA. I reckon the safer option would be for you to apply for BOWP and your wife should apply for her PGWP based on her completion of Canadian completion.

If your wife applies for PGWP, she would need to have a skilled category job (NOC O/A/B) for you (spouse) to be eligible for an OWP (if you do not apply for your BOWP).

On the other hand, if she has been included in your EE application, you both can apply for your BOWP based on that, however, however low, there is an innate risk in this since for any reason, should your EE profile be sent back for documentation or human error, you both would be without WP.

BOWP for you and PGWP for your spouse should put you relatively safe albeit with same processing time and fees. All the best
