BOWP on Implied Status

I am getting 50 points with PR supporting LMIA from a employer. That would bring my CRS total from 493 to 543 making me eligible for EE General and CEC ( I have 2 years Canadian work experience)

My work permit is expiring on Sept end and I am yet to start LMIA process, so basically I have 2 months on work permit.
I am planning to work permit extension on 25 Sept that will give me implied status and buy me 2-3 months.

If I get LMIA points in these month and get ITA in next draw. My question is. Can I apply for BOWP on Implied status? Am I eligible? My lawyer is saying I can but need to confirm from you guys.

Firstly, I don't thing there are alot of random people here on Forum, Some of them are really expert more than what lawyer tell (just to retain a client)
Secondly, Its better to get information from all the source and then filter out the correct one. I don't want to be in a situation where I end up loosing time as I don't have much.

Hi @Gifty21,

Could you please shed more light on applying for BOWP while on maintained status. The IMM5710 form wouldn't validate if the expired permit date is entered. So, I would like to know what status end date should be entered to allow the form to validate because being on maintained status means one's permit is expired.
