BOWP - March Applicants

Does anybody know How much time it will take to get Work permit by mail?

Hello All,

applied for BOWP 15.March.

Got right now 2 times a notifications, one was that no updates have been made a while ago (guess this is when maybe someone touched it)
and on saturday I got a mail that updates have been made....but nothing.

So still waiting. WP expires mid June.

Applied PR under CEC end of August 2014, so actually also hoping to get med request soonish...

Getting crazy and freaking out...but not insane yet...I hope...

I am April applicant, and like an hour ago, I've my MR email.
Don't worry too much, you are not so behind for your PR.
And I am March 17th for my bowp. So hope that one will come in soon.

I applied for BOWP March 19. On the 68th day they sent me an email said my status is updated, couldn't log into my CIC account and ended up calling CIC agent. He said I'm just moving along the line and they're still working on March 7 apps and I should hear back in couple weeks. So fyi 68 days is not really 68 days til you get the final decision ???

you are right zoey. 68 days doesn't seem to be be true for everybody.. However, looking at the updates so far from folks on this group, its in that ball park +/- 5 days..

Were you able to log into your account at all? I suggest you try that and keep the group updated on the progress showing there..

they suspended my account for 24hrs cos i couldnt remember my password lol I'll be able to login tonight. It's frustrating cos they sometimes they don't tell you the truth. He said there's nothing on my app yet, when they make decision on ur app you'll receive a message. CIC email said my status is updated and i also got a message.

Did you get the email from CIC exactly on 68th day?

If you apply on March 19th, then yesterday should 69th day inclusive both the days.

I got the email at 7pm last night. Yea so it was exactly on the 68th day. I think you should count March 20 is the 1st day. Again i'm not sure what message or update they sent me since i cant login my cic account for now. The CIC agent might be right, only on the 68th day that your application is on their desk waiting to be reviewed. I can let you know exactly tmr when im able to.

I have applied on 18th late night i.e. 11:20 PM EST. But the confirmation PDF shows March 19th. Not sure which date i should consider as submitted date ?

I would count the 19. Either way, its just one day you shouldn't worry too much. You should hear something back in the next couple days.

guys! please help. I just got refused of BOWP last may 25. and I am on restoration. my employer and I decided to just re apply wp in the border.. but the closed work permit this time. we can provide job offer, LMIA exempt fee, pnp cert and support letter and any Pr related documents. questions are:
1. is it possible to get a positive result in there?
2. I don't have idea how to do that. any idea?
3.how can I pay?

PLEASE HELP ME! I AM REALLY SCARED!
ANY IDEAS WILL HELP!

Only experience i have at the border is that they DO NOT issue Bridge Open Work Permit at port of entry. Last time i was at the airport, i checked that with the Imm Officer, and she showed me the rule in the book

I think you should try for a closed work permit at the border, showing all the documents you have. Keep cash with you, because they might not except credit cards. Do not mention Bridge Open work permit

Yes...better to carry a filled form print out with you...and a blank one to be at safe side
