Hi,

I faced a very wierd situation. My employer has submitted BOWP application for me and my famility through an immigration agency at the end of April 2015. I was provided with copies of on-line filling confirmations from CIC with application IDs for each member of my family. I called to CIC just to make sure all is good and found out that those applications don't exist! They tried all searching options but with no success. The immigration agency explained this as it's a common issue because the application still is not in-process. While at CIC I was told to send a new application as if there is an application ID there has to be a file, which does not exist. How come I have submission confirmations then? Is it possible it was rejected and files deleted but nobody noticed it? Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,
Regards.

when did you apply for PR and when did you receive AOR?

I applied in July, 2014, received AOR in September 2014.
Not sure if this can be linked, but unlike most of other July 2014 applicants (according to the tracker list posted on this forum), I still have no advances on the primary application.

When is your original work permit expired? What application ID you have referenced? BOWP application of CEC application? CIC is processing mid-March applications. So your app hasn't been touched yet. It's reasonable that CIC call centre agent cannot find your file.

My current permit is to expire in 2 month, the application for BOWP alledgedly has been made a month ago, meaning the 4-month prior to expiration requirement has been satisfied. The BOWP application references the primary CEC application.

That is exactly what the immigration agency has told me. However I called to CIC on this matter and was told that if there are application IDs, there should be the appropriate files, though I admit that the call-center workers might not know some specifics of the process.

That's the biggest point of confusiong for me, if it's possible or not that it's just not displayed until it's touched by the officer. And so many people has received their BOWPs so far so this particular issue should have been noticed already if it's a common case.

Ha just received yet one confirmation of submission from the immigration agency, they sent me the screenshot of their CIC account with my 3 application submitted in proper time. I really doubt someone would be interested in producing fake screenshots, especially when it's related to immigration, so I am almost sure the applications are there but not yet visible to call center agents due to some wierd specific of their software.

Don't worry, just a glitch with CIC Call Center
