Hi Guys,

i uploaded successfuly my docs for the bowp !
now i would like to process the payment by credit card (CIBC) but it says failed all times.
i have enough money on my credit card (i also called my bank) and i put the correct address.
this bowp makes me feel crazy ???

Hey Guys,

I have applied for an open work permit on Feb 27th(as I already have an AOR).
I also have a job offer from a company which is valid till Apr 30th. With the current processing time of 56 days, I seriously doubt if I will get my BOWP by end of April.
Would any of you know if CIC will expedite the process, if I mention them about the job offer?

Also,even though CIC has mentioned that it would take them 56 days, but I doubt if it's actually 56 days.
Reason: today they are working on jan 22nd application and today is March 27. So, the difference is 64 days.

Please advise.

I applied BOWP on Jan 27th and got the approval email on Mar 24th..
Hopefully, you will get urs before the end of April.

Congrats to you. I believe you are one of the lucky ones as CIC website(that got updated today) says that thay are still processing jan 22nd applications.

I don't want to loose the job offer that I have. And with CIC, I am not very sure if I will get the BOWP by April 30th.
Are you or anyone aware of any other process to speed up things.

Another queston: My BOWP is already in process(applied on feb 27th) and now my currently company wants to file for the extension of my current closed work permit.
Would you know as to what will happen to the closed work permit application, if applied?

Currently I am under implied status. Can I do what I was doing before, i.e. volunteering, going to the gym, etc? Some people are getting paranoid, but from what I know being under implied status is perfectly legal. Did anyone have any issues of any kind? Please let me know.

I applied for BOWP online on January 30. March 30 my status changed to approved, on March 31 I received email, that my work permit will be sent by mail and on April 1 I received by mail. On work permit issued date is March 27

Congrats! Applied on Feb 5. This is going to be a long week end for me. Lol.
