You are still within normal processing time frame, which is about 2 months.

I received my BOWP in the mail yesterday and I wonder why it says there that I am not authorized to work in any location other thank stated. I am currently working in Alberta. I applied for PR under FSW Category.

According to the link, if I applied for FSW, the province of destination should be UNKNOWN.

FSWP, FSTP, CEC
For a bridging open WP issued to FSWP, FSTP or CEC, there are no restrictions to Employment Location and therefore the Province of Destination value must be set to UNK first, and then the City of Destination value of Unknown can be selected as follows:

Province of Destination: UNK
City of Destination: Unknown

I think the CIC officer must have mistaken my BOWP application for PNP:

When issuing a bridging open WP to an applicant for permanent residence under the PNP, the Employment Location on the WP must be restricted to the nominating province. Therefore, the Province of Destination must be selected and then the City of Destination value should be selected to show the province/territory NES. For example:

Province of Destination: AB
City of Destination: Alberta NES

Oh I see. You applied together online. Yeah you did the right thing. They'll give her a SOWP since your BOWP is already approved. Just wait a little and she'll get it.

and I know that the AOR can take 2 months...
Should I be sending a paper copy at the same time? or Should I be putting in an online application once I get an AOR?

Hi, the paper based applications are sending people to "buy" some time due to not having their AOR (which is necessary for applying) yet. The processing time is currently 50-60 days for paper based application and 10-20 days for email applications.
So in your case if you still have not even submitted your CEC application do it ASAP and also submit the paper based BOWP application about a week before your current WP expires (don't let your it expire!). Good luck.

Or would it be better to just send my cec application and send a paper one maybe a few week after? I am worried if I send it a week beforehand then I won't have a visa..

If you apply for PR and receive the AOR before your current WP expires, apply for the BOWP online (there's no point to send the paper based BOWP application then).

My open workpermit is approved. I have applied on August 23 and received an email on August 28. Its so fast, waiting for the visa copy to arrive.

You require to fill forms IMM5710E for all, your spouse and dependents, Attach marriage certificate, Medicals,IMM5713E(Use of family member representative for online applications), all the pages of your passport copy, Photo of the primary applicant and a cover letter. Pay online fees of $155 each and submit the application.

Hello folks
I am expecting AOR in couple of days and will be applying for BOWP
Currently I m on closed WP ( expiring in NOV) ,my wife has SOWP and Daughter on visitor visa ( visitor record)

I was confused for online aalication
- can I apply online for my BOWP and SOWP for spouse and traveler record extension for my Daugher in single application ( obviously sep.forms ) at same time using my cic account
-what docs are required for applying 3 together
- do I need use the reprentative form if I m applying for wife and daughter in my application as I m applying from my account and I am signing digitally on the form

Or shall I get my BOWP first and then
apply for rest ?
