BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

How long after approval did it take in your case to get the approval email?? I need that email as I'm
travelling fairly soon and I don't expect to get the hardcopy in the mail before.

MyCIC says BOWP application has been approved this morning. There's no message in my account so far. But reading that my application has been approved sure is a good start in the last week before christmas

Was wondering if you applied with your current work permit due to expire within 4 months or longer than that. I filed my application last week, but in my case the WP expiry is more than a year. I provided an explanation letter that includes the AOR and a job offer as well - stating as the reason for the early bridging!

I applied on the day my WP was to expire in 4 months. My current WP expires March 31st, 2014 and I applied on December 1st. So exactly 4 months before expiry

For folks here who applied with WP expiry greater than 4 months - Did a job offer letter aid in your case or it wasn't anything significant?

Yes, leave blank or put "BOWP - Bridged Open Work Permit" in those fields ( Tha's what I did )

In Number 2a) and b), I put "Bridging open work permit- Not Applicable"

and 3-7, left them as blank.

I never got the approval email. I just saw the approved status on MyCIC.

That's weird. After my last WP application I got a message in my MyCIC account saying
the application has been approved and stuff.
Guess I'll have to wait for the hardcopy of my WP in the mail then.

I heard the CIC stopped notifying us the result of our application as we can now check our application process in the status table/chart.(the table was not in the system 2 years ago when I applied WP last time) I am pretty sure you will get your hard copy before Christmas as it only takes approximately 5-7 business day.

Ya, thing is I signed up for notifications about applications, so I kinda expected a notification
upon approval. However, I got it approved, that's all that counts if you ask me

How do I add extra employment details?

I have to mention 4 employer details but there is space for 3 only.

Shall I take print of page 3 and fill it manually and upload the scanned Document along with the original Document?

So, I got my BOWP approved yesterday. I'm wondering if anyone who got the BOWP application
approved recently can tell me if I should be getting an approval email or a message in my MyCIC account
or not. For not, one day after approval, it only says 'This application has been approved', but I haven't
received any email or message regarding the approval from CIC.
