BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

LCM21 - I am also the same my work permit runs out the same day I can apply for CEC so im sending of for my BOWP without AOR fingers crossed!!
What did you write in your letter as thats the only part I have left left to do but unsure as to what to put?

Why can't you apply for your CEC earlier? So are you sending your BOWP application before your CEC application?

I wrote in the letter when I applied for CEC (with proof of delivery + copy of the payment receipt), that I am still awaiting my AOR but that I had to apply for my BOWP now in order to continue working in Canada. I basically asked them to delay their decision until I am able to attach my AOR.

The good thing is that they will probably send the AOR around June 10, and since I sent my BOWP application via mail, it won't be reviewed until end of July or the beginning of August.

Now after getting BOWP....NEXT step is to send TRV application to Ottawa.
do we have to have job to get TRV? If I am not working currently how do I convince officer? Do I have to provide any explanation letter with my application?

LCM21 - I have to wait until I have 1yr of work experiance so I don't get that until the end of my visa so I have to apply now for BOWP and write letter to say that I will send AOR when I get it and like you im doing it by mail so that it takes slightly longer in them checking it. So im really hoping time wise things work out. Im posting my BOWP tomorrow and my CEC on Thursday

Anybody help plz. I have work permit which is valid till 2015 June. Now I got a AOR for my CEC application. My question is, can I apply for open workpermit with AOR now. Cause I heard some people said you have to reach the expiry date of current work permit to apply a new one. Help?

Why would you apply for another open work permit if your current one is valid for another two years?

sorry that was my bad, I have just bonded work permit. One of my friend said open work permit allows us to do a part time job, so that is why I trying to get a open work permit

Hello everyone I am about to apply my BOWP and just have a couple of questions. Are the photo requirements same as the one we send with our PR application and second thing is I cant seem to figure out how to digitally signature the BOWP application. Any help will be appreciated.

The call center agent told me that the photo is only required in the online application to replace the signature... I.e. I didn't have to include a picture in my paper application because I signed the documents.

Hello I applied for BOWP and received today an close work permit for the same place I'm working right now. I'm provincial nominee in Manitoba and received my AOR in January. Also passed my medical exam in February. The online quiz I made before the application told me that I can apply for BOWP and I clearly stated open work permit on the form. I called CIC and they told me to send the original permit back to Ottawa with a Request to Amend the Record of Landing, Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Valid Temporary Resident Documents. Is it anybody here did that before?

No, just that the call center agent told me that a photo is used instead of a signature. BUT I did not apply online, so I don't want to make any false assumptions and say "yes go ahead and apply without signature". The majority of the other members here have applied online, so they'd know better.

According to website, it takes about 1 month.however, my friend got in 2 weeks. You can mention URGENT in the envelope .

For those of you who applied online, how do you get your "personal checklist code"? I am stuck in LMO question because I don't have LMO. I thought we don't need LMO to apply for BOWP. Am I right?
