Maybe right now they regard you as representative for you wife so that form is needed. Just print it out, fill and sign it, then scan and upload it.

Long delay for dependant Spousal Permit; Applied Extension along principal BOWP

Hello,

Checking if any one facing similar issue and what is to be done?

My spouse's Work permit extension (Spousal/Dependant) was submitted 'Online' along with my BOWP (principal applicant) in Aug 1st week.
I received my BOWP letter in two weeks, but my spouses permit extension is still not received.

We tried calling the CIC helpline and each time they say it is in the queue for printing. This has been the same response over the couple times that we called in last three weeks.
One of the agent we spoke today just mentioned that technically the time line is upto 3 months, after they take the request regarding the letter printing to the concerned department.

Not sure how long we need to wait to receive extension letter and the online status stills says 'OPEN'.

Is there any one facing similar issue? Please advice..

Are there any members on this forum who have applied for a BOWP after receiving AOR through CEC and have obtained it successfully since it was launched? Can you folks please enlighten us as some members recently shared their stories of rejection going with the assumption that the AOR qualifies as pass for BOWP.

Guys why when I try to look up the OB 485-A it says it is expired.. does it mean the we can no longer apply for BOWP???

For last 2 weeks CIC not updated processing time for any of type . reason no one knows . so can't say what is current time frame as on 5th sep it was 7 days

OB 485-A is expired like a month ago however they released a revision. Check this out one.

It's not mandatory. I got my first BOWP last year without filling out and submitting this form.

Hi All,

i am applying for BOWP online, during filing the form 5710E, there is a question 2c on page four, which says,

Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada?

Should i select YES or NO?

My situation: I have applied for study permit from my back home in 2009, i got study permit of 2 year then i got PGWP of 3 year. My PGWP of 3 year expiring next month.

Please reply ASAP
