Hello, we currently submitted our PR application under FSW program as inland applicants and received AoR two days ago. Btw I have 3-year PGWP and my son has the visitor record for the same duration. However, my husband OWP will expire on October 01,2019.

A few weeks ago, we tried to extend his WP through flagpole but got refused because of insufficient document. I would like to re-apply to extend his WP under BOWP but I do not have a NOC-B-A job as of now. Can we apply BOWP for the dependent applicant of PR without any NOC job?
I greatly appreciate your advices since he will not be able to work after October, this situation will put a financial strain on our family. Please advise me guys.

Thank you.

Only principal applicant is eligible for BOWP. Your husband can only apply for a spouse work permit which means you need to have a NOC 0/A/B job in order for him to apply.

Thank you for your quick response. Can he apply to extend his stay as a visitor by switching from worker to visitor by showing that we’re under pr application? How likely to get approval for this extension ( we also have a child and if his dad would have to leave the country, this situation certainly could cause very negative consequences)

Yes he can. That's an easy application and generally would be approved without issue.
Your answer is such a relief for us, appreciated it. We explain our family bonds and our pr application. We also have enough funds to show. Do I need anything else to add like pay stubs?

Sorry I can't recall off the top of my head. You'll get an checklist when you apply online. You can also reference the checklist here.

Thank you so much. In the form this question is a bit confusing. Should I choose the first one?
Question 3

Check the appropriate box or boxes to indicate if you are applying for:

  • an extension of a temporary resident status
  • an initial or extension of a temporary resident permit
  • a restoration of your status as a visitor.

Hi Kiva2014,

I am in a similar situation. Applied for PR, I am main Applicant but I do not have NOC job. We have a baby and I need to apply my Husband's visitor visa to extend his stay. Can you please share your experience? Did you get the TRV, what docs you submitted or was there any specific hurdle? It will be a great help.
Thanks in advance.
