BOWP decision based on PR?

Hello experts

My AOR is December 24, 2023 under PNP and i applied for BOWP on January 14, 2024. My PR is still in process but i just received the BOWP approval today (June 18, 2024) almost after 5 months.
I am wondering is this decision dependent on the the PR decision or i can work and stay in Canada on BOWP regardless of PR decision?
Also, since BOWP eligibility is based on PR in does that mean the PR would be approved soon?

Can anyone please confirm?

Thank you. Since my BOWP is approved recently and my PR application has reached the processing time limit, does that mean the PR would be approved soon?
Currently, my PR is only Background verification pending.

Those two have no correlation with each other in terms of processing timeline. So can't really say anything.

No you cannot do it in the border. BOWP has to be approved in the GcKey first, BOWP approval depends on the eligibility check of your PR being successfull.
