Bowp changed to "in progress" time to acceptance?

My BOWP application changed state last week to in progress, its funny because lost of ghost updates before that. How long does it usually take to get the work permit after it changes to this state?

As with the case of PR it means nothing lol.

Also does anybody know how the work permit is issued? Can you go to a CIC in a city and get the permit or do you have to leave and re enter the country or send your passport off?

Just for all of you waiting for BOWP. I know there is hardly any information on this as I've searched everywhere online.

I called CIC after 10 attempts getting through as my application for BOWP it has been 9 weeks since I submitted and nothing. It says on CIC's website current processing times are 6 weeks. The CIC agent told me today they are processing applications from August 20th right now. She said they should process mine within next 2 weeks.

I applied for my BOWP on September 9th and got approved today, November 15th. Got a ghost update yesterday. The BOWP will be sent to the address you provided in your application via mail.

Thanks I got approved yesterday. How long did it take to arrive did it come via registered mail? I am wondering now with the postal strike LOL.

mine came in 2 days, but then i live next 2 the building where it was mailed from lol

I have yet to receive it! I'm in Toronto....
