Not a direct response, but hopefully it's helpful..

The last CIC update (April 24) indicated that they were processing online application received Feb 14, so hopefully you'll hear soon.

Hi

I got my AINP approval on November (under employer driven- level C) and I added my wife after i got the approval. Then we applied together for PR on November 2014. We both were working under closed work permit. I applied open work permit for my wife on Feb 18, 2015 as her closed work permit was expiring on March 13, 2015. My friend told me about the pilot program for spouses and thats y i applied for her. But now my work permit expired on April 1, 2015 and i applied for a new one under LMIA exempt. So my question is does this affect my wife's work permit as i am on implied status?? It will be great if somebody can help me out with this. We just received our file number and medical last week....... Thank you...

hey buddy,

i am thinking to apply for extension bowp, but i have some doubts i hope you can help me out, i am mpnp approval and my pnp is good untill may 30 2015 and i have got my aor since april 24 2015.

1)can we apply bowp online?
2)can i apply for my wife open wk at the same time or should i get my work permit and then apply for her, but what would be the reason if i cant apply at the same time ?(my wife name is included in our pr file and my job is skill level-b)
3)what exact documents i need to apply for bowp?
4)do i have to send pnp support letter with my bowp to cic?
5) do i need to send lmia-exempt to cic?
6)what if my pnp is bonded with specific employer and if i put explanation letter to get an open work permit will they give me?

Yes you can apply for the BOWP online.

Use the questionnaire linked below to get to the relevant application package. You should be able to get a joint package for you and your wife.

Once you've completed the questionnaire it will give you the opportunity to apply for an 'Open Work Permit', this includes the BOWP.

You need less than four months remaining on your current work permit to be eligible for the BOWP (as well as to be in Canada and have received your AOR). It doesn't matter that you are moving from a closed permit to an open one.
