Hey,

Has anyone applied for BOWP in January 2016 and received their work permits as yet? I applied around January 13th via Paper Application and my current work permit expires April 21st, 2016. I'm anxiously waiting on a decision from CIC.

Please share your updates! ;)

I applied for my BOWP on January 19th (online). I received an e-mail from CIC today that it has been approved.

My PR timeline is to the left.

Oh wow! Thanks, that's good news!

I did paper application at the time because apparently they were processing it faster than online lol. Ah well, my fingers are crossed that I will hear soon.

I applied on jan 20 and yesterday got email saying its aproved...guys can you please tell when i expect work permit in my mail??

Logged into myCIC today to find that my application, submitted Feb 17 was approved.

I had applied 2nd BOWP on Jan-7 along with my spouse. We are of Sep-14 CEC PR applicants....

Still no updates on WP :(

I applied my Bowp on 29 December still no update. First time i applied in August they refused because failed to pay 100$ fees for open workpermit.

Does the BOWP usually come earlier than the stated processing time of 114 days on the CIC website? Would the times be affected if one is getting BOWP for the second time?

Just logged into myCIC and the application I submitted Jan 12th says approved!!!! ;D

(I did send a paper application which I mailed on Jan 11th with copies of my receipts, but I was nervous about it so I created an application online as well- I chose the exempt from fees option, uploaded copies of my receipts and an explanation letter outlining that I submitted a paper application as well but wanted to better my chances of hearing back from CIC by April 21st.)
