Hello Folks,

I am just wonderign whetehr i got to pay $75 for having visitor record extended for my daughter who was born in USA and only 4 years old.

Filling the online application made me add my wife and kid as dependents and $150 as a fee, but since she was born in US, just wnat to make sure that i have to pay extra for her record extension as well.

Thanks!

Citizens of the U.S. do not require passports or travel documents to enter or return to Canada. Permanent residents of the U.S. do not require passports or travel documents if they are entering or returning to Canada from the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon. However, both must provide documentary proof of citizenship or permanent residence such as a national identity card or an alien registration card

Your daughter doesnt need the visitor record or TRV to enter Canada, no need to pay 75$ and include her in the application. However, in the family information document, you will include your daughter's information.

OMG BigBee for god sake please stop misleading people with wrong informations.
if you do not know the exact answer just stay quiet and learn from others.

Hi victoryincanada :)

your daughter is from a visa exempt country and does not require one to enter canada but if she is already in the country on a visitor status then she needs to extend her stay in canada to remain legally,to do so she needs to apply for an extension as a visitor and pay the $75 fees for this service.
note that she needs to apply for the extension before her current visitor permit expires to get an implied status and she can stay in canada legally until she hears the decision,if she left canada before the decision is made about her visitor permit extension then she will lose her implied status.

good luck :)

Buddy... you dont need to bounce on me like as if I did a grave mistake.... you are writing as if you are waiting for me to make a mistake.... I did quote the link from where I took the information... If you are so hellbent on providing right and appropriate ADVICE to others, why dont you quote the CIC link that states this and as well you could start digging out all the the wrong answers (as per you) and start exclaiming OMG OMG....

Try to be polite and help others....

Good luck....
