BOWP about to expire

We applied for PR via CEC in March 2014 and got AOR in April 2014. Got a Bridging Open Work permit around the same time which is now set to expire in May 2015.

Do we need to apply for a new one or is there away to extend the original bridging open work permit?

We've heard nothing from CIC since we got the AOR, so I don't expect that our PR will come through before May.

I recon that they ought to give you another year of BOWP if you apply for one, you are still eligible!
Also on the other note, do follow up with your local MP and see what is going on with your application.

All these being said, I guess you will be done before your wp expires, you are almost there mate, it's the matter of weeks now.

Thanks! I'm currently applying for another one for myself and my husband and visitor records for my kids! Another $700 out of pocket! I hope it comes through quickly now. But I have to say I'm losing confidence in CIC by the hour!
