Dear all,

My son born 3 years ago without ears, and he is hearing now through an advanced hearing aid as his hearing nerve is working fine. My concern is whether the CIC will consider it a reason to refuse my PR application under the health category.

My son, apart from his physical problem, is a very normal child who can hear ' with a hearing aid' and can actively engage in everyday's life events.

In addition, he does NOT cause any demand to the social and health services here in the UK. He only has his regular following-in appointments for regular hearing assessment and speech therapy ' about once every 6 months'

I would appreciate any response from any member. I really need your suggestions.

Thank you so much in advance

I don't think it will be an issue. Healthcare normally doesn't even cover hearing aids as far as I know so he's not likely to cause undue stress on the health care system and it's obviously not contagious.

Dear Leon

Thanks for your response, it makes me feel better. I was worried about the phrase, in the CIC website, regarding the ground of refusal under the health category where the applicant or his dependants may be refused entry to Canada as PR if they are likely to cause a succcessive demand on healthcare.

I am still wondering what should I submit to convince the CIC officer that my son wont cause such a demand.

Thanks again for your kind reply
