Ok.. I have the application for a certificate of citizenship filled out, found and copied the ID items (need to get the notarization), and need to get the required photos etc... Is it possible to apply for a passport at the same time, or must this be done separately?..

You can't apply for the passport until the application for the certificate of citizenship has been processed and approved. This is something you'll have to put off until a later date.
