Does anyone know if you land at a border crossing that you need to book an appointment, or is that just for an "inland" landing? I am considering going down from Toronto to Buffalo, but was not sure if I can just arrive, and then do the landing once I have my CoPR. Anyone got any info on this?

Thanks

Most of us cross the border and get the admin refusal from the US side to land in Canada. No appointment is necessary, just show up at the US side, tell them you are there to return back to Canada for your PR landing. They will give you a document that you will need to provide to the Canadian side. If you plan to cross on foot, the Rainbow bridge is a better option.

can it be done at any time of day, any time of the week, or is there specific hours for people to do a landing?

Use this link for landing without crossing the border. Most of us used this post last year, which was very helpful.

Unfortunately, this loop hole is no longer applicable. CBSA now needs the document issued by US border officials to allow landing.
