BOGOTA Visa Office 2013

We just got an email says the application has made it to the bogota office, hoping nothing but more good news ahead from them, originally sent the application back in may but I forgot one signature and had to resend it out.

HI EVERY ONE, Thanks for reading and for your replies.

As the topic says our sponsorship application is in the visa office in Bogota. We already sent all the paperwork and just took the medical exams a month ago in USA through an authorize medical office.. the visa office received the results already..

This is the situation...I know the next step is to request the passports. The problem that I am having is that I am not in Colombia, which is where the application was submitted. I am in the USA and for some personal reasons I can't travel back to Colombia now when they request the passport. So I am planning to send passport to Colombia via a fedex for example and them have them return back to me from Colombia to the USA by a family member or friend, and from the USA travel directly to Canada.

Now my question is this.. I know that there are a lot of people with a similar situation. I don't know if this is legal to do and this is why I ask.. now what other options do I have? Can I send them with a family member and a notarize affidavit giving them the authorization to do so?!

I need the experience from people who has done a similar thing and everything went fine.. or just whoever has an answer for this.

Your honest answer will be enormously appreciated!!!!!!!!

I am happy to say for my wife we just sent our passport to bogota from ecuador. All you need to do is send by fed ex or DHL and send with a pre paid way bill or account. They will send your passport and documents to the address you want provide to them to send.

hello i am sponsoring my wife in colombia we applied june 17th 2013, and got accepted around the end of july, august 19th we received a letter asking us to pay the removal fees canada incurred when she left canada due to not being accepted as a refugee, and also to apply for the arc, we have no clue how to apply for this if someone could please help us out it would be greatly appreciated

Visa Office : Bogota
Medicals Done : june 4 2013
Application Sent Date App : Aug 1 2013
CPC-M received as per tracking : Aug 2 2013
Stage 1 AOR : Aug 20 2013
Sponsorship Approval : Aug 29 2013

My wife ( principle applicant ) also got an email Sept 18 2013 ..... she got her own CI # ...

Whats next ???

yea my wife arrived in toronto 1 month ago . bogota moved quickly and answered emails promptly

They are requesting me our CSQ right now but I am still waiting for it...So angry lol...They said I need to send them a copy as soon as possible for processing my application..
