queimmi, I sent my passport the normal way and then I had to go in person to receive it, they make you check right there that there are no mistakes with the name or passport number.

If you can find a courier that offers a prepaid bill maybe they'll return it to you? Is your wife in Medellin? After having sent my passport I read somewhere that DHL is the only one that offers that service (too late for me).

We got our passport request today! so my question now is, should I send the passport using the normal way or with a prepaid bill so the embassy can return it back?

Finally we got the decision made on january 23rd 2015. And passport with the visa arrived on January 26th, 1 week after sending it to the embassy.

So this is it, now we are just waiting to go to the border to do the flagpoling.

Hey guys!

I wanted to let you know that my wife "landed" last Saturday february 8th 2015. She was welcomed by the inmigration officer with a "Welcome to Canada! Congratulations"

We were very happy. Today tuesday, we applied for the SIN (Social insurance number) and it was given right away.
Also, we applied for french classes in Montreal, and finally we applied for the medical card, which should be arriving by May.

Hola tengo una pregunta, yo recibí un email pedidiendome el background check para Colombia y otro papel adicional para que la embajada pudiera continuar con mi proceso. Ya pague el certificado policial y la empresa OMNITEMPUS me confirmo que ya radico el proceso, también la empresa UPS por donde mande los papeles adicionales me confirmo que llegaron, pero no he escuchado nada de parte de la embajada. Esto fue hace dos semanas, no deberían ellos ya haber respondido que recibieron los papeles? estoy preocupada porque me dieron 30 días para hacer esto y no han respondido oficialmente que los recibieron. Otra pregunta que CSQ y SA que tanto hablan de eso.

Hi I have a question. I received an email asking me for the colombian background check and an additional document in order to continue with my application evaluation. I already paid the background check and colombian service provider OMNITEMPUS told me they started the process. Also UPS confirmed they delivered the other documents to the embassy in Bogota. However, I have not heard anything from the embassy any AOR. Is this normal? I am worried because they gave me 30 days to do this. An additional question what is CSQ and SA that everybody talk about it.

Thanks for always wanting to helping me hahaha I don't know if you realized it yet but I am a bit of a stress ball 8) I didn't want to disturb you with my questions....So YES, my husband did go pay for the background check last friday !!! But he had a moto accident so he can't move for 1 week :'( I was freaking out...God I hate this distance so bad....Anyways....

They took my payment for my CSQ monday march 17th so I guess, I'll receive it soon !! I can't wait because VO Bogota has been requesting it since last week and I didn't want to add more weeks to my process but oh well :-( I didn't know I had to send the CSQ right when I got my SA. Bogota is SO fast !! ( I won't complain...!!! ) So yah, they did ask me a copy of my husband's CSQ. I don't know if they meant the CIC copy or a photocopy....I wish they are OK with a photocopy so I can send it to my husband through email so HE can send it to Bogota....If I send it from here ( canada ) It is VERY expensive and I'm a bit scared it gets losts.....What do you think? Is there a way they are gonna know is a photocopy I sent ???

As for the background check, I was waiting to send it like you send, at the same time as my CSQ....but I read in here that if you send in advance, some VO doesn't like that and puts more months to your process.....Gosh I am sooo nervous hahahaha I just want everything to be OK...and FAST ;D

Bro que tu proceso ya casi termina. SA significa Sponsor Approval el cual ya pasaste si tus papeles ya están en Colombia y CSQ es un certificado que los aplicantes que vivirán en Quebec deben conseguir. Creo que no es tu caso.

Espero que hayas tenido noticias del recibido de tus papeles.

Ecas en mi aplicación muestra que mis papeles ya están en Bogotá y empezaron a procesar la aplicación en Diciembre 29. No aparecen los exámenes médicos aunque me los realice en Septiembre. No he recibido AOR2.

Desde que tus papeles están en Bogotá cuanto se a demorado tu aplicación? Debo esperar mucho para alguna respuesta? Puedo ir sacando los certificados de policía o debo esperar a que los soliciten?

Agradezco tu información.

De hecho hoy recibí una llamada de parte de una oficial de la embajada pidiéndome enviar mi pasaporte! y luego me llego el correo oficial pidiéndolo! estoy super feliz! Mis papeles llegaron a Bogota el 22 de Junio. Así que se demoro casi 7 meses! Me preguntaron por el certificado policial en Octubre. Yo espere a que me pidieran el certificado de policía de Colombia porque solo se demora como 3 días hábiles. Pero el del FBI en US se demora 3 meses así que ese lo hice antes que ellos me lo pidieran.

Hola una pregunta como hagaro el FBI de estados unidos yo nose si me lo irán a pedir ya que estube 30 día aya y después entre a canada por lo que me supongo que me van a pedir el RCMP será que necesito de usa también ? Espero que me lo pidan oh lo mando

Katia una pregunta, tuviste que enviar alguna factura prepagada para el envio de los pasaportes y tu archivo a tu casa? cuanto tiempo se demoraron en entregar el pasaporte? Gracias
