BOGOTA Office Visa Applicants 2014

I am with HuertDiaz here....My husband is from Cartagena and what we did, is give them a FedEx account number so they can use that to send it back. What I also think, like I told you guys, since we are from Cartagena ( far from the embassy ) they did NOT tell me in the email to pay for ANY ''guia de retorno''. I sent them an email right away and they told me to not worry about this...that THEY will cover the charge. So, I DID include a FedEx number account just to be safe ( You know me ) and that was it !!!!!

well I didn't know about that but is really good , so don't wait more jus do it, send the passport

We received the Passport with the visa, but they also returned all the relationship proof!!
We had sent them like 400 photos!! So it is good to have them back!

When we did the process with my wife in Medellin she went to take her passport to a DHL since they did offer the service. That's why it seems confusinng that they wont do it in barranquilla.

So...The VO called my husband this morning letting him know that they will mail his passport on tuesday because they did wanna send it today, but they are scared that it might get lost during the week-end and because monday is a holiday in Colombia so they are closed !! I can't believe how this VO works...They really are amazing. Really happy for all of us guys !!!!!! ;D

Dhl and fedex in ecuador apparently used to have a contract with cic in bogota but did not renew it. This service guaranteed the passport would be returned in a timely manner. However DHL in guayaquil, ecuador told my wife that for sure they will get the passport to bogota in 2 days, just the return to ecuador might be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to maybe even a month now. There is a company who is authorized to handle passport requests and delivery. They're called VFS global and have an office in Quito which is a plane ride away from guayaquil.

We may go the VFS route, or we may use DHL and hope for the best. Bogota said either one would work.
