Hi Canadianoilers,

It may be possible, but I wouldn't risk if I was you.
Could your wife sent it after the trip to US?

Hi everybody,

One of my family member was recently asked to send his passport to the embassy in Bogota. He lives in Barranquilla and he was asked to use Fedex/DHL ti send the documents and to pay for the return. However, none of the companies said they offer that service. How can he send the documents then?

Muchas gracias,

Daniela

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Maybe SarahRuiz can confirm, I believe her husband is Barranquilla.
In our case, we had to drop the passport in the embassy ourselves because we are in Bogota, but I doubt that would be the case for everyone else (including Ecuador) applying in Bogota.

I am with HuertDiaz here....My husband is from Cartagena and what we did, is give them a FedEx account number so they can use that to send it back. What I also think, like I told you guys, since we are from Cartagena ( far from the embassy ) they did NOT tell me in the email to pay for ANY ''guia de retorno''. I sent them an email right away and they told me to not worry about this...that THEY will cover the charge. So, I DID include a FedEx number account just to be safe ( You know me :P) and that was it !!!!!
