BobbyB Hey,you've been silent for a while, howz ur end? Bobby, this month I got a letter from them requesting Meds/RPRF/PPR. I have so far managed to do the submission. However, in that letter it clearly says that the request of the said docs, doesnt mean issuance of a visa is guaranteed! Well that bit atleast I understood it.!

I am hoping atleast they have done some background checks.Is it usual for them to ask such docs before doing some checks? Whats up with your side? Any mail yet?

Since, you are in UK - i believe you might be able to answer for my query..

We are in really big confusion..

We have already submitted all 120 days documents to New Delhi CHC 2 days back. Our 120 days will get finished on Jan 10, 2010..

Now, In next couple of months there is a possibility we might have to travel to UK through my husband's employer. So, while we are in UK, if CHC requests our passports for visa stamping and if we send our passport to New Delhi, CHC - can we stay in UK without our passport (approx 1 month) till the time these passport comes back to us after stamping..

Can you pls let us know, what are possible ways to resolve this issue..

Sorry, I am not able to answer your question as I have never been in such a situation and have no experience with such a scenario. I am sure there are a lot of Indians who work in the UK and have applied to the ND office. Maybe they are able to help you further.

However, I do know from threads on this forum that you can not send your passport via post to India, as this is illegal. ( I am not sure, I could be wrong). Also,though, the UK is not a Police state (like Germany) but a Parliamentary Democracy, it is also illegal to be in a country without legal and valid documents being on you. And, if you do send them, by one way or the other, I'd advise you to be very sure that you will get them back within the expected time period. (There have been cases where the CIC have taken more time than expected to issue Visa's).

Alternatively, maybe you want to photocopy the whole of your passports and the UK Visa page, while in the UK and go to a solicitor/notary and get them notarized before taking such steps. Again, I think you should wait for others advise.
