BLS OTTAWA- Passport Renewal Timeline

Hi There

I had submitted my passport for renewal on February 27th at BLS Ottawa centre . Its still showing processing at HC and its close to 2 months now.
Has anyone got their passport renewed during this time frame from BLS Ottawa. Any update will be appreciated. Thanks

Finally got passport. Purolator sucks big time. They should have option of fedex or even Canada post is better

Hi all,

I applied for Passport renewal at BLS Ottawa on 9th Oct (timeline below).

9 October: Submitted application for passport renewal.
21 October: Received email about initiation of police verification.
2 November: Police verification completed (parents in India provided required docs)

Status as of 17th November: Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate

Its been over 2 weeks since completion of police verification and passport is still not sent for printing. I am a lil desperate as I have tickets booked for India on 11 December.
Is there an email id or contact number to get a more specific update?

Havent got it yet.
9 October: Submitted application for passport renewal.
21 October: Received email about initiation of police verification.
2 November: Police verification completed (parents in India provided required docs)
26 November : printing has been initiated for the passport
27 November: Passport has been printed

My passport renewal application status changed from 'Passport has been printed' to 'Passport has been printed and will be delivered shortly' last night (30 November)
It then changed to 'Passport has been handed over to OSP executive for further dispatch to applicant' this morning (1 December).

Any idea how long it takes for passport to be delivered after this status?

It then changed to 'Passport has been handed over to OSP executive for further dispatch to applicant' this morning (1 December).

Any idea how long it takes for passport to be delivered after this status?

My passport renewal timelines-
Postal Application submitted to BLS - 26 Dec
BLS request for additional documents - 29 Dec
Additional documents submitted via email - 1 Jan
Application submitted to HCI Ottawa - 4 Jan
Police Verification Initiation email - 9 Jan (due to change in my permanent address)
Police Verification completed at my Indian address - 14 Jan

Current Status-
passport.gov.in - Application is under review at embassy/consulate
BLS - Processing at High Commission

Hi Asinght,

I am on a WP so sent my attested WP copy after confirming with BLS. Did not send anything original other than my passport.
And I already had some passport photos from 2 months back from US where I got transfered from.

I tried calling BLS Montreal office and was able to get someone a couple of times.

Hi Sunil, Did you get your passport back if so could you share the entire timeline. I have submitted my passport at BLS Ottawa on Sep 2nd 2021 and police verification is done at my Indian residence on Sep 23rd 2021.
