Hi Friends, I recently came accross this forum and would like your help. I have blood pressure ranging from 100-107 / 150-160. Will this be a problem for my medicals? I am trying to get it lowered but I got my AOR and medical request and got to get it done in next 60 days. Can those who already have done their medicals share their experience or inputs about this?

Thanks.

Prem.

I had 144/90 or something like that and at that point, they were asking for a specialist opinion for all people with higher than 140/90. I had to get an ECG to prove that I didn't have a heart problem. My blood pressure went down with a change of diet and losing weight. If you want to try it, stay away from salt, pizza, soft drinks and candy.

Dear Leon,

Thanks for the information and suggestion for reducing the BP. Can you please explain what exactly is done for the ECG and how much is the approximate cost?

Thanks.

Prem

Do not be worry eveything will be fine.

It's an electro-cardiogram. They have you lay on a bench and attach some electrodes to your chest to check your heart beat. It only takes a few minutes and they will have a nice print out of different rythms of your heart. The doctor will interpret if everything is ok. I have no idea what the cost is but it shouldn't be too expensive.

last 2008 i did have a problem too with BP, i got a specialist to check on that and i had an ECG back then, then i just had diet exercise and constantly checking my BP for that before i went to the specialist and it went all very well, dont worry relax lang
