BITS, Pilani distance degree B. S. Engineering & Technology Assessment by WES

I have
1 Regular 3 year diploma in mechanical in engineering from Board of Technical Education Rajasthan
2 Distance degree Bachelor of Science in Engineer and Technology from BITS, Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology & Science)

How my BS degree will be assessed by WES as BITS pilani is one of the most reputed university in india is there is some one like my situation please give me input.

Is my above educations equivalent to Canadian Bachelor of Engineering

How is Master Of Science in Software Systems (OffCampus Work Integrated Learning Course) is rated in Canadian equivalency, if the course was taken after a 4 year B.Tech course.

Those who did MS from B=TS and have applied for credential evaluation, please share their experiences.

Also please share how they got the transcript document from BITS and the station of the photocopy of transcript and MS degree certificate.

May ask you one more doubt.

As I understood, WES requires the below three documents, in an envelope signed by Registrar of BITS, to be sent to WES.
1. Registrar attested photocopy of Degree Certificate
2. Registrar attested photocopy if Transcript
3. Registrar filled Academic Records Request Form
Is my understanding correct?
The BITS site has option to request for a Transcript(Original) to be sent to WES, in a sealed cover.

However, is there a way to send a photocopy of the Degree Certificate along with the request for Transcript and an envelope addressed to WES and ask them to
1. Attest the photocopy of the Degree certificate
2. Take a photocopy of the Transcript and attest the same.
3. Fill the Academic Records Request Form
4. Put the 3 items to the envelope and sign the envelope opening.
5. Send the envelope to the WES
6. Send the original transcript to me.

OR is there a simpler way?
Could you please share your experience.

you need to do following

1 fill the WES academic request form from your side
2 download the request from fill it up from the link of BITS I sent you for duplicate degree certificate & duplicate transcripts request
3 Write down application for explaining you are sending these documents and a WES addressed empty envelop and you want all document to be sent in this sealed ( also mention your WES ID on this envelop)
4 send the whole pack to BITS with bank draft
5 rest they will do the documention they will send to WES

there is no need to send your original document to BITS they have all records.

Hi Guys,

I did the same , gave them the academic request form + Copy of Degree Certificate to be sent to WES with Transcripts.
The transcripts from BITS was received and they had forgot to include the copy of Degree certificate and now the status in WES website shows waiting for Required documents

Degree Certificate (Final or Provisional) - Not Received
Statement of Marks (University Issued and Attested) - Accepted.

BITS had forgot to send the copy of Degree certificate.
Can i send WES the copy of degree certificate seperately with a letter explaining that University had forgot to attach it with the Original docuements,
Is this fine can i send the copy of degree certificate seperately in an envelope by mentioning WES refrence#.
Will WES accept it. Please let me know

you can send it separately they need only transcript from the BITS just mentioned your wes ref id on the envelope

Credential Evaluation - for bachelors, I got help from ClearTranscripts.

For my MS degree, the BITS website "wilpdar.bits-pilani.ac.in/graduation/instructions.html" <add http in front> asks me to send them a DD in US$s from USA.
People in US don't know what a demand draft is and when I call the university office, they say that lot of people have sent them Demand Drafts from USA.

I am not sure how to proceed with this. Thanks in advance for your reply

solution for your problem

if you have someone known in india he can send DD in INR as equivalency of US dollar
