@maharlika:
ayg pag mahay oi... true, nice ang jud ang Edmonton. And it is a place nga among gi pili not because my wife's brother is here, but rather because it is a good city to raise a family. Even if wala siya diri, we'll still land here.
Edmonton is just like Cebu, as Calgary is like Manila. In my perspective. I have been to Calgary for the past 2 weekends and going over for another 2. Overall, hindot jud ang Edmonton and Alberta in total.
I've spent sleepless nights last year (November and December) to research the top 10 cities in Canada, but we narrowed it down to Edmonton and Vancouver. But then when we found out that 70% of the time it rains in BC, then we rather choose nga -50 and snow.
International Police imong bana? wow bigtime na diri! pwede ra baya jud to nga siya ang principal applicant!

HAYAHAYA! pwede ra ka dili mag trabaho... ay na pag mahay, think it over lang jud.
It is my personal opinion lang ha... mas maayo jud nga ang imong bana ang ipa prioritize nimo ug pangita ug nindot nga work. Para maka continue sya sa iyang career and both of you will be happy inig abot ninyo.
You're a nurse and you will be a nurse anywhere in Canada, so you're career is already set! its not a question of where... it's just a matter of when. But sa imong husband, it will be a struggle, especially kung mag focus mo "ikaw sa una mag work kay ikaw ang nurse",
BUT, if you do it the other way around nga sa iya ang IPA PRIORITZE nga mag concentrate ug pangita ug work, then it will come out in favor for your family jud.
I suggest stop thinking about your nursing career for a while and help each other look for a job for him.
And yes there is a success story behind my suggestion here... this happened to one of my wife's friend who is also here in Alberta. They just came this year with her wife as the nurse... same too, ga tu-o siya mag lisod siya diri (kay banker sya), so he opted nga mag cashier sa grocery store... a few days later he got hired in a bank (3 weeks after nag sugod ako wife, same sila bank karon) and it turned out well! fulltime, average earner and ga sugod na ang career sa iyang husband and the wife works in a coffeeshop waiting for nursing certifications and im pretty sure in the next few weeks/months she'll be working in health services.
think about it.
