@ lola_basyang: be positive lang jud. nindot pud imong timing kay January, a lot of companies mag expand sa ila workforce (or add projects/services) basta first quarter of the year! basta advise nako mangita lang jud ka ug kanang work nga naa sa imong linya, ug kanang work nga maka jump start sa imo career.
I prepared to be unemployed for 3 months and nag full-time ko job hunter. I've denied several job offers already (low salary/company) and accepted the best one (a fortune 500 company - however, wala pa start date, gamble pa kaayo ni karon... im negotiating above 58K annual that's around $29/hr). There are survival jobs that can give us work in less than 5 days ($12.5/hr), but wala jud ko nag enter enter ana kay para nako importante jud nga dili ma pollute akong self and mag fulltime ko ug job hunting para ngita ug nindot nga company and tarong-tarong nga job offer.
lagot usahay maminaw sa mga pinoy nga ma inspired "doctors ga trabaho ug mcdonalds"... I suggest that you and to all reading this post nga kita mga bisdak, dili ta pa lupig sa mga Canadians. We are eligible to work in Canada and so we should go for the best! I just hope dili mo pa ton-to sa uban. There is no such thing as "Canadian Experience" or "Transferrable Qualifications" (unless of course sa healthcare ka) ... all of this is purely PREPARATION, GUTS and DETERMINATION.
Pa connect ug inet connection = simple, basta nag rent naka.
phone lines = bundle naman kasagaran, if you want Inet, Phone and TV - i suggest go for one provider.
kung cellphone = dali ra, they even give you one/two units of blackberry and UNLI na ang YM, BBM and FB
be prepared for $120-130 CAD for two lines (you and your spouse)
