Birth date mismatch

My Birth certificate has the correct date, but my passport and all educational documents have birth date 2 days later than the actual birth date.
I am planning to mention my birth date on all applications as per my birth certificate, and attach a letter describing the reason for discrepancy.
Any suggestions? appreciate your help, thanks.

Better to change the Birth Certificate? letter will not work here,

But birth certificate has the correct date, and it can't be modified by municipal corporation since its part of e-governance software and locked for modifications.

I don't think it will work. My suggestion is to get either of these change..
