dear sir,


i dont have any birth certificate. can i produce any other document in place of my birth certificate.

can i produce the first page of my passport that has all the details like place of birth , dob, parents name and also i can provide my high school marksheet which is use din India as prrof of date of birth.

i dont know the answer to your question but if they only wanted DOB from your birth certificate then your passport would always have been okay. They ask for the BC and the passport, so maybe its for the other information it provides like parents name, their DOB and place of birth, etc.

This is not an uncommon problem as several developing countries have no mandatory birth registration system at least before 10-15 years ago.Some embassys in such cases issue a certificate that "on the basis of passport" the birth date of...is ... The cic accepts this.I know several cases who had done this in the past without any problem.

Yes. The embassy does that. They simply write on the basis of passport it is certified that so &so is an Indian national and his date of birth is...and place of birth is.... I particularly know cases from India.
