Hi,

I have got selected in 2017 Lottery to Sponsor Parents. My issue is application is submitted and now they are asking for Sponsor's and Principal's Birth Certificate in order to prove relationship.

"You must provide proof of the Principal Applicant’s relationship to the Sponsor. Specifically, you must provide a photocopy of the sponsor’s birth certificate; as well as a photocopy of the birth certificate for the Principal Applicant and any dependents"

"You have 30 calendar days from the date of this letter to submit the documentation required – the requested documentation must be received by our office no later than 2017-XXX-XX. When you submit your documentation, please ensure that this letter is included in the package. If your application meets the requirements for processing, it will then enter the processing queue based on the receiving date that it was determined to be complete."

My Parents are born in 1945 and its basically impossible to get birth certificate as both of my parents are delivered by midwife. I am born in 1967 and I don't have my Birth Certificate either. Now issue is I am Canadian living here for last 25 years. I was being given just 30 days to produce my birth certificate and my parents Birth Certificate.

Does anyone have received such letter.Besides its hard to get anything done in India in 30 days.

Do you have a school record entry for yourself in India? Do your parents have the same. Is a late entry possible. Othewise you will need to contact them by writing or phone to explain the situation.

Good luck I know how hard this is. My wife had the same issue. She eventually got her's...with the incorrect details. :(
