Birth Certificate Issue for CEC

Dear All

Need your suggestions please. The DOB on wife's passport and the original Birth certificate is different. However the DOB on her passport, school mark sheet are similar. How do i address this. Its going to be next to impossible for me to change the DOB on her birth certificate.

I was thinking if i can get a letter from the Indian Embassy at toronto and notarize it. Will it help?

My advise is to contact your Local Revenue Department to amend ...

In my case My father went to Mandal Revenue Officer and applied there (Provide all the documents which has your Address and DOB{passport, Ration Card, Drivers Licence, School Certificates})... and He issues a new Birth certificate with a 1 week.

Make sure to keep some PINK BILLS when you go there

The letter from Indian Embassy doesnt work at all.

Either it should be Birth certificate or 10th class mark sheet. If you want to use mark sheet than you have to include a cover letter why you dont have birth certificate and why you using it. Just tell them you dont have birth cert due to non availabilty of records or so..

I think Mark sheet would work for you.

I would suggest to get change the birth dates on wife's passport rather than getting wrong Birth Certificate. You can get Passport renewed in 10 days from Embassy. Embassy letter for birth Certificate is waste of money and time .

If he decide to change the DOB on passport , then He also have to change the DOB on the school marks sheet.......

No sure how critical the educational documents with the CEC application ?

no need to submit the Marksheets if you have Birth Certificate. Pasport is required document so it should have the correct date of birth.
