Birth Certificate for FSW

Dear Friends,
I am applying for FSW. Just wanted to know if I can use passport & class X th marksheet as a documentary proof for birth certificate. I don't have the birth certificate.
Secondly I got my son's passport made with a different name since name in his birth certificate was not pronounced properly by many. There is no provision to change the name in birth certificate in India. What other documents I need to provide as an evidence to prove that the person in passport & birth certificate are same?
Please help.

Passport is not, but class X certificate bearing his name, his DoB, and your name would be sufficient.

Are you saying that the name in the passport and the class X certificate don't match, or you already have a birth certificate with which it doesn't match. If it is the birth certificate, then just go with class X certificate, that's all.

My son is just 6 years old..His passport has a different name than his birth certificate. Can any one share what documents are acceptable in order to prove that the child in passport and child in birth certificate are same.

You can make affidavite for DOB.

In case of dob, parent's name available in 10th certificate. Do I need to attach affidavit if I dont have birth certitificate. If yes what should I write there. I never applied for birth certificate. and I am not sure I will get it easily and quickly.
