Dear All,
I have recently submitted my documents for express entry (e-AOPR), and now I have a confusion regarding birth certificate of my dependent child who is 10 months old. The birth certificate has the following as the name 'baby of [mother's name]', and other information like parents name, dob, place of birth match with those in passport. This is because we got the birth certificate issued when the child was born.

Can it create any problem in the application, or should I start the process of updating the name in birth certificate, in case they request this information once application is processed.

Thanks.

Regards
Ruchir

You can get updated certificate by going to the courthouse. Request it there, with baby's present name and some proofs of you being parents and your ids. You should get it within a month. For accurate dates, ask them (pay them under the table).

Thanks, I have already initiated the process. However, do you think that the initial birth certificate could be a problem, as father's name, mother's name, and DOB is already there, and all these match with the passport ?

Shouldn't, my original certificate didn't have my name. I had it re made while appearing for 10th board exams.

Submit new certificate with name to CIC immediately after you receive it using case specific inquiry. It can cause problems.

Thanks. I have requested for the same and will get it by 23. SEP. 2019, and will upload immediately thereafter. Can you give me any idea after how much time CIC may start processing the documents after application submission ?
