Birth Certificate - Do we need it ?

Hello Seniors,

I have my file complete and I am going to send it to the New Delhi high commission in a couple of days. However I do not have a birth certificate for myslf and my wife. Do we necessarily need it or will they consider my secondary school leaving certificate as my date of birth proof.

I have read in this forum that one case was rejected by new delhi commission because the birth certficate was not attached.

Please advise, it is very urent.

no need to get tense, all u gonna do u is collect following things in place of Birth certificate

1). 10th Class passing certificate for u and ur wife for DOB
2). Passport photocopy of biodata page for showing DOB and Place

This will do the needed, lot of people did the same and sail thru the process

1). 10th Class passing certificate for you and your wife for Date of Birth
2). Two affidavits one for you and one for your wife stating 10th Certificate as true DOB and attested by Notary. Send in original.

i no need it it is req in case if your birth is before 1980 . only 10 th std certificate is req or affidavitfrom your side

Dear Rocky n Singsaab,

I have already sent my docs and i did not have my birth certificate. I send my 10 certificate as my proof of DOB and attached a note stating that i do not have my birth certificate. I did not send any affidavit.

Can something go wrong. What do you suggest i should do ?
