Birth Certificate - We get this when parents recorded at the time of birth.
Date of Birth Certificate - We get this certificate we get from Consulate General of India.

I think I got it right if I missed something please let me know.

I've seen in this forum few people's CEC applications returned back because they have supplied Date of Birth Certificate from Consulate General of India

If so, people don't have birth certificate cannot apply until they provide affidavit and covering letter even if we have date of birth certificate from consulate general of India.

if this is the case .

people might have already applied under this format can anyone provide us sample affidavit and covering letter.

My case was similar as I've birth certificate from India but the place of birth was wrong so under some one supervision today I need to go to BLS office and submit the DOB certificate. Now again i saw the certificate from consulate is valid in some cases and suggesting to have affidavit and covering letter.

Rather than submitting the application with uncertainty I stopped sending my application and I've submit request for date of birth certificate from consulate general of India through BLS International.

If any one submitted the CEC application in this format .

Please provide us some affidavit & covering letter templates so that It would be much easier for the persons like me.

Replies would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

I don't think so affidavit is mandatory to replace India Birth certificate. I personally know few of my friend who got PR and they submitted DOB certificated received from Consulate General of India, In addition to that 10th (SSC) passing certificate is mandatory and also need to mentioned note in your application covering letter.

I guess applicants who are not followed above procedure might get their application returned back.

there is lot of confusion regarding birth certificate and certificate of birth ;

Along with my application I've submitted notarized affidavit, certificate of birth from Consular general and attested SSC mark list and also mentioned in the covering letter why Im submitting additional documents.

what ever they accepts I'm fine with it .

Since I had lot of discussions about these topic I've went with all three options .
