Yes Bro, that is what I meant. BLS plays a third party to process the docs at IHC.
So I am not completely sure if this will be acceptable or not.It really depends on the visa officer as other member mentioned earlier. I dont understand why they have to reject as this document is legal meaning issued directly by Indian High Commission.

True, that's for the child as I mentioned earlier.
Agreed ! we never know whom they will ask it depends case to case but, for me i am guessing they might ask that is the reason I got them done. It makes sense to ask the applicants with children more.

For all the applicants who are residing in Canada can obtain birth certificate through Indian Consulate. Because I have applied for myself ! All you need is your original passport and work permit !
You can get police clearance certificate(PCC) also from Indian consulate(US/canada) for the days you stayed in (us/canada) country... Hope this is accepted by Canadian gov during PR process.

Dear bhagya: we are rolling here for BIRTH CERTIFICATE not PCC. You are right PCC from Consulates are valid but, we cannot use PCC as proof of birth though !

Hello Friends,
I am in same situation. I got my birth certificate but my wife got a birth certificate with different place of birth from her passport. Now I am planning to apply for PR. But I am tensed does it gonna get in to a trouble if I submit my application. I am the primary applicant she is dependent. She got her SSC certificate with name, dob, place of birth and both parents name.
Could anyone help me to find a solution.
Thanks.

Rules have changed. Birth certificates are no longer required for adults, you only need passports (and national identity cards, if applicable). They are required only for children, to prove you are their parents.

Review this page to learn about document requirements -

Thanks for your response. I think BC is not required only for express entry. But I am applying paper based PR under provincial nominee program.
