You cannot do it by phone, they need a medical examination form and passport bio-data. Anyway, we sent them by email. We do not know how long they will take.

I have requested an appointment for a medical examination two days ago via email. I did not get an appointment yet. How long does it take?

IRCC says "We sent you medical instructions on May 17, 2021. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us". Do thinks we have enough time?

Nobody can tell you that, what country are you in? Are VFS and the clinics open? IRCC knows the countries where there are delays and take that into account. Really have to wait and see when your appointment is, IRCC has not been strict recently on bios and medicals being late.

No, you don't have to pay another fee. Now you wait for the Biometrics Instructions letter once receipt of payment is received.
My spouse is currently waiting for his (VO: Accra).

Did you get your Biometric letter after payment of the biometric fee? How long did you take to get it after paying for it and sending the receipt through the webform?

No, we didn't get BIL after payment. Payment was requested and paid for on Mar 5. BIL was received on May 21, so approximately 2 months and 2 weeks.

1. the VAC office that receives the receipt for biometric payment?

@shersher87 This is based of my understanding of our GCMS notes, I apologize if information provided is inaccurate.

1. I believe it was rec'd at the CIO (Mar 18), and CIO confirmed with Montreal Call Centre, who then updated their system noting payment was provided (Mar 19).
2. I believe the VAC office. As it was created by an agent at our VAC office (May 21).
