Hello people,

I applied for a study permit recently, and since I had applied to enter Canada twice (once for a study permit and another time to extend the said permit), I assumed, rather foolishly, that I must have given biometrics previously and answered "yes" to the "Have you given biometrics in the past 10 years" question. But that is not the case!

How do I let CIC know of this mistake? I have looked at the webform, but I do not know the visa office at which my application is being processed -- I am from India and there are three offices. I hope this won't ruin my application.

Thanks!

Did you get any VFS email, or an acknowledgment email yet?

I did not receive any from VFS but got a few general "you have a new message" ones from CIC

Those emails have visa office.. That's why I was asking...

True, should I just wait for a few days for an email from VFS then? (I applied on June 13th)

But I think won't get one yet as yours is an online application and you haven't submitted anything to VFS

Update: Issue resolved - I just got a message from CIC asking me to pay the biometrics fee. I contacted them yesterday using the general webform, which may or may not have influenced the message I received today.
